  1. Introduction

This Bad Weather Policy outlines the procedures and guidelines for events and activities affected by adverse weather conditions. It is an integral part of the Terms & Conditions of Courtlough Outdoor Adventures Ltd. T/A Flynn Park (“The Company”).

  1. General Policy
  • Activities will proceed in most weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by The Company.
  • The safety of participants and staff is the primary consideration when deciding to postpone or cancel activities.
  1. Assessment of Weather Conditions
  • The Company will monitor weather forecasts and assess conditions leading up to and on the day of the event.
  • Decisions regarding the postponement or cancellation of events due to adverse weather will be made by The Company.
  1. Postponement or Cancellation
  • If The Company Cancels:
    • Participants will be notified as soon as possible.
    • Suitable alternative arrangements will be made, which may include:
      • Rescheduling the event to a mutually agreed date.
      • Issuing a gift voucher to the value of the booking.
    • No refunds will be issued.
  • If Participants Choose to Cancel Due to Weather:
    • Standard cancellation policies apply as per the Terms & Conditions.
    • No refunds or rescheduling will be permitted unless The Company agrees that the conditions warrant exceptional consideration.
  1. Notification
  • Participants will be informed of any changes due to weather via the contact information provided at the time of booking.
  • It is the responsibility of The Client to ensure contact details are accurate and monitored.
  1. Extreme Weather Conditions
  • In cases of extreme weather (e.g., thunderstorms, heavy snow, high winds):
    • Activities may be halted immediately, and participants may be asked to seek shelter.
    • The Company will provide guidance and make every effort to ensure the safety of participants.
  1. Participant Preparedness
  • Participants are advised to:
    • Wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear as outlined in the Terms & Conditions.
    • Bring additional protective items such as waterproof clothing, sunscreen, or hydration equipment, depending on the forecasted weather.
  • Activities may proceed in rain, and refunds will not be issued for participants unwilling to participate under such conditions.
  1. Force Majeure
  • The Company is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by natural disasters or other uncontrollable events as defined under the Force Majeure clause of the Terms & Conditions.
  1. Liability
  • The Company is not liable for any inconvenience, costs, or losses incurred due to bad weather beyond its control.
  • Participants partake in activities at their own risk as outlined in the Terms & Conditions.
  1. Disputes Any disputes arising from decisions made under this Bad Weather Policy will be resolved in accordance with the Disputes and Proper Law clauses of the Terms & Conditions.

This Bad Weather Policy is designed to ensure clarity and fairness while prioritising safety. By proceeding with a booking, participants acknowledge and accept the terms outlined in this policy.
